Proof of Concept or practical pilot
With a proof of concept or practical pilot you test a robot application before you invest. That way you know the robot does what you need, in your own environment and with your own products.
Proof of concept or practical pilot?
| Proof of concept | Practical pilot | |
|---|---|---|
| Goal | Test one critical assumption | Test the task in your own environment |
| Example | Does the robot grasp this object reliably? | Does it work at your pace, with your people? |
| Setup | Defined test setup | Temporary, at your site |
| Outcome | Technically feasible: yes or no | Ready to implement: yes or no |
Our approach
- Define task and success criteria: what should the robot do and when is it a success?
- Prepare the setup: robot, hand or gripper, software and workplace.
- Test and measure: success rate, cycle time and how often someone needs to step in.
- Evaluate: you receive the results and advice on the next step.
The outcome is yes, yes under conditions, or no. All three are valuable: you decide based on facts. After a successful test we help you with implementation.

Frequently asked questions
How long does a proof of concept take?
That depends on the task. After the introduction we make a proposal with planning and success criteria.
Do we need to buy the robot for a pilot?
Not necessarily. We discuss per project which form fits best.
What if the test does not succeed?
Then you know before you invest. We will advise on an adjusted approach or a different solution.
