Illustration: the cost of a humanoid robot built up from hardware, software, AI, integration and service

Short answer

The cost of a humanoid robot is more than the purchase price. Version, accessories, software, training, integration and service together determine the budget. At Humanoid-direct prices are on request: you receive a quote that fits your application, with one-off and recurring costs listed separately.

What makes up the costs?

Cost itemWhat it covers
Robot and accessoriesModel and version, hands or grippers, batteries, chargers, transport case
SoftwareLicences, updates, development tools such as Genie Studio and Genie Sim, computing power where needed
Training and dataRecording demonstrations, training and testing new skills
ImplementationWorkstation adjustments, connections, safety, acceptance test, instruction
ServiceMaintenance, repair, parts, internal management hours

Why no fixed price on the site?

A robot for a trade fair programme needs different hardware, software and support than a robot that has to handle objects. A bare starting price therefore says little. We would rather make a quote based on your application, so you know where you stand.

How to calculate the total cost

  • Add up the one-off costs: robot, accessories, transport, set-up, training and integration.
  • Add the recurring costs for the period of use: software, energy, service and management.
  • Divide the total by the number of usable operating hours or tasks.
  • Compare with the current way of working and test the assumptions in a pilot.

When does a robot deliver enough?

Besides capacity, look at quality, ergonomics, research value and the visitor experience. For production, repeatability, downtime and how much supervision is needed all count. Record a baseline and compare it with the pilot before you scale up. See also from demo to production.

How to request a good quote

State the desired model or task, quantities, location, objects, required functions and planning. Indicate whether you are only looking for hardware, a demo, a training project or a complete implementation.

Frequently asked questions

What does an AGIBOT A3 Ultra, X2 Ultra or Genie G2 cost?

The price is on request. State the version and the application; we tailor the quote to hardware, accessories and support.

Is robot training included?

That is stated explicitly in the quote. Learning to operate the robot and teaching it a new task are different pieces of work.

Can I do a demo first?

Yes. A demo helps you choose before you make a purchase decision.
